Hansel Otero, MD

Hansel Otero, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Radiology and Pediatrics at George Washington University in Washington, DC. He also serves as the Director of Body MRI in the Department of Diagnostic Imaging and Radiology at Children's National Health System, where he joined in 2014. During his residency at Tufts Medical Center, he served as chief resident and received the RSNA Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award on two occasions. He currently serves on the MRI and abdominal imaging committees of the Society of Pediatric Radiology and is a committee member of the Children’s National IRB.
Dr. Otero has authored over 35 publications, over half of which fall under the category of health services, his special research interest. He was the recipient of the 2010 RSNA Trainee Research Award and the 2011 Radiology Alliance for Health Services Research-American College of Radiology (RAHSR-ACR) Award for Socioeconomic and Health Services Research for best manuscript.
